I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and have been serving children and families in the DSM metro for 20 years. This has allowed me build a diverse experience resume including work in outpatient, community, home, school, and residential settings. Over the years I have mentored and provided informal and formal supervision and consultation to many peers and developing therapists, including supporting intermediately licensed professionals toward independent licensure. I have served in several leadership roles at non-profit agencies due to my proactive communication and hard-working attitude. I have led the expansion clinical programs and professional and community learning opportunities.
I have a strong orientation toward trauma informed, person centered services, and the AIP model. I am a Certified EMDR therapist, EDMR and EMDR Child Specialist and EMDRIA Approved EMDR Consultant. I am trained in AutPlay, Theraplay, Collaborative & Proactive Solutions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have experience working in both substance abuse and sexual behavior treatments. I am an active and assertive communicator with high expectations for ethical practice and attention to detail.
